And his tireless efforts to provide the best information and context as part of our team will be a valuable service for our community.”
Ming started his career at KRCR in Redding and KTVN in Reno before spending over two decades at KOVR in Sacramento, where he was as a consumer investigative reporter and anchor.
“We are thrilled to welcome Kurtis to our team,” said KCRA 3/My58 president and general manager Ariel Roblin. “Anyone that knows Kurtis knows he cares deeply about the ethical practices of journalism and the communities within our coverage area. His dedication and impactful reporting, covering our area for over 20 years fits hand in hand with the culture and commitment the KCRA3 Newsroom. We look forward to sharing more of his stories with our viewers.”
Ming will co-anchor KCRA 3 News at 4 p.m., reuniting with Lisa Gonzales, the 7 p.m. broadcast along with Edie Lambert, and the 10 p.m. My58 newscast alongside Andrea Flores.
“I have long admired KCRA 3’s unwavering commitment to excellence,” said Ming. “Throughout my career, I’ve believed that any viewer who gives us the gift of their time deserves accuracy, reliability, clarity, and context. It’s our duty to investigate issues, expose problems and relentlessly seek solutions to improve the communities we serve. It’s an honor to contribute to KCRA 3’s legacy and collaborate with a team that consistently puts the news and its viewers first.”
