Nanuku Resort Fiji has completed an extensive $12 million redesign, transforming the luxury resort’s accommodations and public spaces with contemporary elegance.
Preserving its authentic Fijian character, the comprehensive renovation includes beautifully refreshed interiors across all guest areas. These upgrades coincide with the resort’s 10th anniversary celebrations, further solidifying Nanuku’s position as one of the South Pacific’s premier luxury destinations.
A Reimagined Luxury Experience
The resort’s 37 luxurious suites, residences and villas range from one to six bedrooms, and promise memorable guest experiences that deliver a “home away from home.” Key elements of the redesign amplify the sense of calm and relaxation and draw attention to the island’s lush surroundings. From authentic Fijian carved wood pieces to architectural elements and a serene color palette of rich island tones, reimagined spaces create seamless transitions. From the bar and lounge to casual dining and formal restaurant areas, carefully framed ocean views enhance the peaceful and expansive open spaces.
Tropical Beauty & Fijian Culture
The thoughtful redesign, led by acclaimed firm Parisa O’Connell Studio (POC), balances the resort’s traditional Fijian roots and modern luxury expectations. The refreshed accommodations and spaces are carefully curated to incorporate modern style with classic and traditional Fijian details. The renovation has significantly elevated the resort’s public spaces, with the clubhouse, bar, lounge, and pool area all receiving elegant updates. The Kanavata Lounge features bar seats under a stunning organic seashell fixture that spans the length of the bar. Poolside, Nuku Bar now includes a beachside setting for toes-in-the-sand dining and live music. Kanavata Restaurant juxtaposes stunning, textured raffia lighting with sculptural wooden tables and woven seating, and the lush infinity pool with comfy chaises showcases ocean views in every direction. These upgrades coincide with the resort’s 10th anniversary celebrations, further solidifying Nanuku’s position as one of the South Pacific’s premier luxury destinations.
The Dancing Turtle
While maintaining its reputation as a family-friendly destination, Nanuku now offers the additional benefit of an adults-only dining area, including the new “Dancing Vonu” (which translates to “Dancing Turtle”) venue, serving lunch and dinner in a sophisticated setting. Recreational options have been expanded with a new pool table, chess set, and ping pong table, complementing the resort’s extensive list of over 50 existing activities and amenities.
